MaveriQ Jackson: Running for Colorado State House, District 23
My name is MaveriQ B Jackson, and I have officially thrown my hat in the ring to run for the Colorado State House, District 23—representing the hardworking families and communities of Wheat Ridge, Applewood, and West Lakewood.
The time for "politics as usual" is over. I was raised to believe that when times are tough, we come together, we listen to each other, and we build bold solutions that lift everyone up. Our district is full of families, seniors, and young people who deserve to be heard and supported—not left behind by a system that prioritizes gridlock over progress.
My commitment is simple and unwavering: to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my neighbors, to be fully accessible, and to introduce the Colorado Economic Security Act (CESA)—a comprehensive roadmap for universal healthcare, AI worker protection, and a future where every Coloradan can thrive.
I’m running so that together, we can build a stronger, fairer, and more resilient Colorado.
My campaign, powered by the Colorado Economic Security & AI Workforce Transition Act (CESA), is focused on putting Colorado First by building a state of abundance and security.
Here are the key points for my website:
-
Universal Healthcare, Zero Bills: We will implement "Care Without Fear," guaranteeing universal healthcare for all Coloradans with no copays, no deductibles, and no medical bills, ever.
-
AI Worker Protection: If AI or automation displaces a worker, they will receive 50% of their salary for life (AI Displacement Income), protecting our workforce.
-
Colorado Independence: We will phase out federal funding across all CESA programs within 10 years, ensuring our economic security system is state-run and accountable only to Coloradans.
-
Eliminate Homelessness: We are committed to ending homelessness in Colorado within five years through comprehensive housing, employment, and support services.
-
Lower Business Costs: We will establish the Colorado Business Success Team to make the state 20-30% cheaper to operate in, partly by eliminating employer healthcare costs.
-
Life Security for Families: We will launch a state-run, affordable Life Security Program (life insurance) that guarantees coverage and is fully portable.
-
Clean Energy & Lower Bills: We will achieve 80% renewable energy by 2035 and offer major rebates (e.g., 75% for high-rise solar) to cut energy expenses.
-
Education Freedom: We will work toward free education from kindergarten through college and phase out federal control over our school system.
-
Healthy Food Transparency: We will pass the Colorado Food Transparency Act to ensure people know what they are eating and make healthy food more affordable than processed alternatives.
-
National Stability: I support the United States Rapid Action and Preparedness Act (US-RAPA) to strengthen democratic stability and continuity of government nationally.

US-RAPA
As part of my platform, I am running with the United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act (US-RAPA)—a framework to protect our democracy, strengthen national security, and give citizens a direct role in holding leaders accountable. While I’m bringing this bill forward in my campaign, I’m also committed to working with current representatives and state leaders to advance it toward the federal level.
(United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act)
The United States Rapid Action & Preparedness Act (US-RAPA) is a new framework I’ve authored to keep America safe, stable, and democratic in the face of crises. Whether it’s a natural disaster, political corruption, or threats to our freedoms, US-RAPA makes sure we can respond quickly—without giving unchecked power to any one person or group.
What US-RAPA Does:
-
Protects Democracy: Prevents abuse of power by leaders, institutions, or extremists.
-
Strengthens Security: Ensures the nation can respond swiftly and lawfully to emergencies.
-
Gives People Power: For the first time, everyday Americans can petition to activate safeguards and even remove corrupt officials.
-
Checks & Balances: Creates a balanced National Council of leaders and civilians to oversee crises and prevent overreach.
-
Election Stability: Allows early voting of “confidence/no confidence” if a candidate or official faces credible evidence of misconduct.
-
Judicial Accountability: Provides a constitutional pathway for the people to remove a Supreme Court Justice through petition and referendum.
-
State Partnership: Begins right here in Colorado as the pilot state, with the first secure US-RAPA digital portal built for citizens.
Why It Matters:
US-RAPA ensures that when our democracy is tested—by corruption, dictatorship threats, disinformation, or even disasters—we don’t have to rely on broken systems or wait until it’s too late. It gives both government and the people tools to act swiftly, transparently, and constitutionally to keep America safe.
